He Took The Cup

July 22, 2018 Speaker: Pastor Jake Boessling Series: Ask for the Ancient Path: A Study of the Catechism

Passage: Luke 24–24, 1 Corinthians 11–11

He took the cup. Yes, Jesus took the cup of wrath and drank it for you. God's wrath was soaked up on the cross by Jesus as He died for you. And now we get to taste His body and drink His blood from the cup when we come to the Lord's Supper as a free gift of grace. But as we come to sip from the cup, the Apostle Paul reminds us to "examine" ourselves. What does that mean?

Join us on Sunday as we answer that by diving into Luke 24 and 1 Corinthians 11 in our continued journey along the "Ancient Paths" found in the six chief parts of Luther's Small Catechism!

It's an honor to be one of your pastors!

Jesus is Lord, Pastor Jake
