Communion is Community

July 15, 2018 Speaker: Vicar Brian Muldowney Series: Ask for the Ancient Path: A Study of the Catechism

Passage: 1 Corinthians 11:17–11:34

What does Communion, mean to you? Well, for Saint Paul, Communion equals Community.

As we continue with our series "Ask for the Ancient Paths" this Sunday, we get to dive into Communion. We're going to talk about what Jesus says Communion is and how important it is to receive because we are Christ's family. Now, in the wider world of Christianity, there are so many different practices and beliefs regarding Communion. Some say it's just a symbol while we would say it actually forgives your sins! In preparation for this Sunday, read 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 and see what Saint Paul says about Communion. Also, look for the consequences of receiving Communion when we seek division, are unrepentant or don't believe in what Communion offers us.

As we "ask for the ancient paths" this Sunday, I look forward to seeing you in the House of Jesus! May He bless you!

In Christ, Vicar Brian
