2019 Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
National Youth Gathering
WHAT IS "THE GATHERING"?
Held every 3 years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity. During the five days of the Gathering, youth spend time together in God’s word, worship, service, and fellowship with others from across the synod.
WHO CAN GO?
Must be 14 by July 11, 2019 OR entering 9th grade in fall 2019
WHAT IS THE THEME?
Real.Present.God: Psalm 46: Real life is broken and messy, but because Jesus is real, I can be real amidst the brokenness. God is present in His Word and through His people. And because of this, God’s presence is our refuge and strength, no matter what. God is all powerful, all personal, and this God is present for us in Jesus and his life, death and resurrection.
