The Eagle Foundation
God led the Lamb Family to be part of the Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran School community in 2001. Since then, all four of our children have been blessed by the teachers and staff of CGLS while receiving a Christ-centered, quality education year after year. However, there have been needs for improvements and advancements that a working school budget just could not fund.
Twelve years ago, a group of passionate parents, grandparents and friends of CGLS got together to form a funding engine for the school, explicitly in the areas of educational enrichment and technological enhancements. The “Eagle Foundation” was born.
Since its inception in 2007 these dedicated family members, friends, and alumni have donated over $150,000 via annual membership donations, thank you events, and an annual golf outing.
Past contributions to the school include:
2008-2009: $12,000 for reading and math specialists
2009-2010: $30,000 for Smartboard technology for four classrooms and Spanish education for Pre-K students
2011-2012: $15,000 in matching funds towards the Annual Fund campaign.
2012-2013: $10,000 for a technology consultant, 4 overhead projectors, 3 additional document cameras, 19 Chromebooks for 6th and 7th grade students, wiring for overhead projectors in all rooms, and the purchase of Rosetta Stone language curriculum.
2013-2014: $10,000 for campus wide wireless router updates, Tech 21 registration, and LSEM Partnership
2014-2015: $18,200 for 10 iPads (including preschool), document camera, data projector, and physical education teacher
2015-16: $15,400 toward LSEM (Lutheran Special Education Ministries) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Enrichment, Art, Math) instructors, six STEAM tables, and TEC21 (technology training for teachers)
