The Lenten season begins with Ash Wednesday falling on February 14. That's right, Valentine's Day! This year we will focus on the concept of “giving up” something. Lent is a time for meditation and reflection. 40 days to seek Jesus. To digest His words, His life, and His ministry here on earth and in heaven. As such, many people choose to “give up” something they enjoy for these 40 days in order to reflect on Jesus' sacrifice for them on the cross. As Christ's Greenfield reflects on Jesus this Lent, we will be preaching and teaching on what He calls His people to give up. Our dependence on our own abilities, our focus on the things of this world, and our own sin, these are all things Jesus is calling us away from so that we may rest in His grace. Join us for our annual Lenten Suppers on Wednesday nights starting at 5:30 p.m. and then at 6:30 p.m. for our weekly Lent Services in our Sanctuary. These services will be meditative, reflective, and simple as we focus on Jesus! We hope to see you there!
