To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 1 Peter 5:1-3 The Board of Elders at Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church has two primary responsibilities: The spiritual welfare of our pastors and members The supervision of everything pertaining to congregational worship We focus on these two goals through a variety of methods, including member calls, supporting new member classes, assisting with the sacraments of communion and baptism during worship services, and through prayer. Elders also serve in a variety of ways throughout our parish. Leading bible studies, singing, sponsoring youth group activities, and even the development of this website are but a few examples of activities where Elders give of their time and talents to God. It is our hope and prayer that our activities will help build the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12) as we all grow together in faith. There are currently 22 men who have answered the call to serve as Elders at Christ’s Greenfield. We are here to serve each of you because, as Peter writes, we are willing. If you have questions about our Lutheran faith or worship practice, would like to share a concern, or need someone to pray for you, please contact any of the Elders on this page. + Soli Deo Gloria + BOARD OF ELDERSKerry Heiss, Head Elder Josh CarstensSimon ChatfieldTim DormanDaryl EastridgeJosh EhrmanRyan ErmelingEric FenskeDrew FordKent GierkeFrank HoglundEd LambHarold LewisDoug LollarRon MefferdPaul NaffinGregg PaulsenCharles RoenfanzGreg StrangeBill ThunbergRick UlrichDon Wade
