Small Group Bible Study

The Story

Over the next several months, we will embark on a journey together as we explore the most compelling story of all time; the story of the Bible. This study arranges the events, characters and teachings of the Bible chronologically to help us better understand the story of how God moved through history in a more seamless flow from Creation to Revelation.

It’s helping people everywhere experience Scripture like never before. This is also a great time to invite friends and family to our church, to help them better understand that the Bible isn’t just any ordinary story. It’s a story that has the power to change who you are, what you think and how you view life. The story of a true God who loves his children, who established for them a way of salvation and provided a route to eternity.

We are forming groups of 6-12 people to apply The Story to their lives weekly. Group will meet at a home in the community some time during the week or weekend. This is a great chance to meet new people, connect with others, and enjoy life together.

CHANCEL AREA - EASTER

Weekly worship services are both contemporary (1st, 3rd & 5th Sundays of the month) and traditional (2nd and 4th Sundays). A 10:45am alternative worship service is also offered.

The Lord's Supper is celebrated at 9 & 10:45am on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Sundays, and at 7:30 & 10:30am on the 2nd & 4th Sundays.

We also worship our Lord through special festival services throughout the year and with mid-week services during the Lenten and Advent seasons. God's word is proclaimed in its truth and purity while we express our love, praise and gratitude to Him, and receive His blessings!

New Senior Pastor Called!

Last Wednesday the voting membership of CGLC&S voted to extend a Call to Pastor Timothy Ahlman of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, CO. With a total of 226 voters present, the congregation voted to approve a final slate of three candidates recommended by the Call Search Committee. Of those three, a total of 172 votes were cast for Pastor Ahlman (76%). This vote was followed-up by a unanimous vote of support and affirmation by the voting membership.

Pastor Ahlman was informed of the call and has begun the prayerful process to determine if God is leading him to serve here, or to remain at Bethlehem. We encourage everyone to pray for CGLC, Pastor Ahlman and for his current congregation. Please contact Tim McClellan, Tim@strengthandpeace.com, if you have any questions.

Voters Meeting to Extend Senior Pastor Call on 6/12/2013!!!!

Call for a New Senior Pastor – There will be a special voters meeting this Wednesday, June 12, at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary to vote on issuing a call to a new senior pastor. Sanctuary will be open from noon to 6pm for prayer and meditation. Please come early for the pre-service music at 6pm, and to allow time for sign in. The nursery will be available beginning at 6pm!
