Rev. Mark Chase, Assistant & Shepherding Pastor

Pastor Chase was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He graduated from Concordia University in Irvine, California, in 2006. He is a recent graduate from the Master of Divinity program at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He joined the staff of Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church and School as Assistant Pastor in June of 2010. Pastor Chase and his wife Amanda are blessed with two children, Emma and Nathan. He enjoys just about anything competitive or outdoors and is very happy to be back in the Valley!

Jacob Boessling

Jacob graduated from Lutheran High School North in Houston, TX, in 2001, and received his B.A. from Concordia University at Irvine in 2005. He received his Masters of Arts degree in Biblical Studies in May 2010 from Fuller Theological Seminary in Phoenix. Jacob is married to Nicolette, and in March 2010 they had their first child, a baby girl whom they named Francesca. Other family members: two Chihuahuas named Indy and Tali. Jacob has served Christ’s Greenfield as a DCE since 2005. His current focus is grade school, high school and college students. His hobbies include hiking, reading books at Starbucks, watching baseball, and eating!

 

Michael Jessop

Mike grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. He received his B.A. degree from Concordia University Irvine in 2010. After serving his DCE Internship at Christ's Greenfield, he accepted the call to stay at CGLC as a DCE. Mike enjoys swimming, playing guitar, and going to the movies.

Matthew Frable

Keyboard leader for contemporary worship

Matthew has lived a life brimming with Lutheran musical heritage and a long time love for choral performance. Once a high-stepping drum major for his high school marching band, he branched out from saxophone to piano to organ. After receiving B.A. degrees in Music Therapy and Music Education from SMU (Dallas, TX), Matthew earned a Masters in Sacred Music from Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Columbus, OH). He teaches music and drama at Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Chandler. Matthew, wife Betty and their 3 children moved to Arizona 8 years ago, and sun-lover Matthew enjoys biking -- even in triple digit temperatures!

Jack Kalleberg - Business Manager

Jack was born in Farsund, Norway, and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. After high school Jack joined the Army and became a musician in the Army Band. From there he went to ASU on the GI Bill and graduated with honors with a degree in finance. After college, Jack worked as a credit analyst at Honeywell, and as the chief of operations at a mortgage brokerage. In 2009 Jack became business manager of Christ’s Greenfield. His favorite activity is playing the drums, and from time to time you can see him perform with the contemporary music worship team during Sunday services.

 

Linda Butler - Office Administrator

Linda and her husband, Jack, were married on December 15, 1974, in Algonquin, Illinois. They moved to Gilbert, Arizona in July, 1984, and shortly thereafter made Christ’s Greenfield their church home, when CGLC was still meeting at Falconer’s Funeral Home in Gilbert. Linda started in the church office at only ten hours per week in February 1989, and worked up to full time in January 2003. The Butler’s three children, Bobbi [living in Ellensburg, WA], Heather [living in Queen Creek] and Michael [living in Gilbert], grew up at Christ’s Greenfield. Linda loves being a “Grammie” to her 8 grandchildren. She has been a surrogate mom and grandmother to many other youngsters over the years who still come to see her in the church office from time to time. Linda’s hobbies include yoga, bowling, going to drag races with Jack’s ’65 Fairlane, relaxing with her family, and going out to eat at Italian and Mexican restaurants.
 


 

Elma Harris - Calendar & Scheduling

Elma grew up in Chicago, Illinois, where she met and married Mike Harris in 1977. Elma began working in the church office at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oak Lawn, Illinois, in 1995. Their two children, Christopher and Lisa, both came to the Valley to attend Arizona State University, and since Mike's parents and family had also moved here, the Harrises decided Arizona was the place to be! Elma left her work at St. Paul in August, 2003, and they packed up and moved to Gilbert in September of that year. Elma began attending Christ's Greenfield shortly thereafter, and in April, 2004, started working three days a week in the church office. Mike and Elma became grandparents in 2009 and again on August 29, 2011. Elma adores the time she is able to spend with her grandchildren. Elma also enjoys biking, hiking, gardening, and going to see Civil War battlefields and other historical sites with Mike.

 


 

Michele O'Hair - Visitors and Membership

Michele is one of the few Arizona natives who is still in Arizona. She joined our parish staff in August 2011 with huge shoes to fill in the visitors and membership area vacated when Sally Heiser retired. Michele also continutes part time for the school office as an administrative assistant. She and her husband, Mike, have been members of Christ's Greenfield Lutheran Church since April 2006 and have two sons. Mrs. O'Hair has her AA in Business Administration. She enjoys camping, cross stitching and watching Nascar races.

Anne Manross - Publications and Communications

Anne moved here in 1965 to attend ASU, and liked it so much she stayed! She still loves her Chicago roots and gets back there as often as possible. Her son and grandchildren all live in Gilbert and are a constant source of joy in her life. Anne retired in January 2007 and joined our church staff part-time a few months later. She likes new challenges, which includes all things computer. Be sure to let her know if you see something that needs updating on the church website! When not at church, with her grandchildren, or on the golf course, Anne enjoys travel, reading, board games, playing cards and time with friends and family. Did we mention she likes to play golf?!

Steve Ehrman - New Member Assimilation

Steve assists with worship services and devotes much of his time to new members, welcoming them into Christ's Greenfield and helping them to finding areas of interest where they would like to use their time and talents in our parish.

 

 

Tom Luley - Adult Small Group Bible Studies

Tom also assists with worship services. He coordinates and organizes adult small group bible studies at various times of the year, and publishes the "Faith Journey brochures," in the Fall, Winter and Summer, which list the bible studies available to anyone who is interested.

Paul Brandt - Interim School Principal

Paul is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago and earned an MA in Education from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Paul and his wife, Susan, came to the Valley of the Sun to help start Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran School in Scottsdale where Susan continues to teach first grade. For the past five years, Paul has served as School Consultant for the Pacific Southwest District and founded New Horizons Ministry Consulting. Paul and Susan have three grown children and one grandchild. Paul’s hobbies include New Testament history, collecting ancient coins, playing trumpet, kayaking, hiking and fishing.

Rhonda Dilzer - Vice Principal

Rhonda Dilzer is the Vice Principal of Christ's Greenfield Lutheran School, as well as the lead teacher of the Love Bugs Pre-Kindergarten class and the Sweet Peas Early-Preschool Class. Mrs. Dilzer is very proud to say she has been on the teaching staff at Christ's Greenfield since 1996. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University and an Arizona Teaching Certificate. Mrs. Dilzer and her husband have two children attending local colleges. She and her husband are also active in several community organizations.
