In his spare  time he enjoys swimming and playing guitar. His favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 13:1-2, “Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Mike's favorite drink from Starbucks is a hazelnut latte. The craziest thing he has ever done is a toss up between bungee jumping in Mexico and skydiving in Monterrey! Mike is excited to be doing his DCE internship here in Gilbert, and is looking forward to living in a new state, making new friends, and having the opportunity to learn, share, and grow in faith with all of the members of Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church during his DCE internship.

Sally moved to Arizona in 1998 with her husband Ron to be near her daughter and son, who had both come to the southwest from Minnesota in 1989.  She loves to swim, cook and bake, collects various antiques, and is something of a current events junkie, who is still trying to get used to the political system of Arizona.  Sally and Ron both enjoy sports on television--both the local teams and their Minnesota Twins and Vikings.  Their two children, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren all live either in the Phoenix area or in nearby California, and that makes them happy indeed.

Anne Manross - Publications and Communications
(480) 892-8314 x 108
amanross@cglchurch.org

Anne moved here in 1965 to attend ASU, and liked it so much she stayed! She still loves her Chicago roots and gets back there as often as possible. Her son and grandchildren all live in Gilbert and are a constant source of joy in her life. She retired in January 2007 and joined our church staff part-time a few months later. She likes new challenges, which includes all things computer. Be sure to let her know if you see something that needs updating on the new church website! When not at church, with her grandchildren, or on the golf course, Anne enjoys travel, reading, board games, playing cards and time with friends and family. Did we mention she likes to play golf?!
